UFO Sightings in Colorado & Wyoming - - a short study

UFO Sightings in Colorado & Wyoming Of 50 states,  Colorado ranks 20th for UFO sightings in this study, 152 listings.   Wyoming is #48 with 52.   Data from both states is combined for a better map and statistics.

Sightings eras are in colors:   93 listings from 1891 through 1959 show as Blue dots.   48 from 1960 through 1974 are in Violet, and 63 from 1975 to the present are Green.

The 1891 case was from Toponas, CO. According to an old diary entry, a round glowing object maneuvered about in the clouds, then shot away rapidly.   This could easily have been ball lightning,  though BL remains a scientific mystery in itself.

The geographical center of sightings for the two states is at 105:54W - 39:53N,   close to Winter Park in Grand County, CO.

The strangest case here also has virtually zero credibility.   Per the APRO Bulletin Vol. 2 #6, on 27 April 1957, south of Littleton, CO, somebody saw some green-faced ape-men playing catch with a dead chicken.     Apologies to all,  I couldn't bring myself to delete it. -LH
